Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti national park

In the morning you will depart to UNESCO world heritage site, the Serengeti with your picnic lunch box after an early breakfast at Arusha Planet lodge. The park gate located about 335kms from Arusha, barely 6hrs to reach the park. Apart from wildebeest migration, the spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat.

Day 2: Full day game drive at Seronera

Seronera is a network of river valleys that ensure year-round water supplies and keep the region incredibly rich in wildlife throughout the year. The area has phenomenal concentrations of game and sees the migration herds move north from mid-April to late June and back south again in November and December. The only downside to this area is the number of large hotels and consequent volume of traffic on safari. In the evening depart back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Seronera to Grumeti western corridor

Wake up early in the mid of grass land in central Serengeti and having a hot breakfast with memorable sunrise pictures at Serengeti before leave to Western corridor grass plains where by migration dominate between the months of April to July. The Western Corridor follows the path of the Grumeti River up towards Lake Victoria. This region provides superb wildlife action in May and June, when the migrating herds cross the crocodile-infested waters of the Grumeti.

Day 3: Full day Game Drive at Grumeti

Proceeding with game drive at Grumeti, after breakfast in the morning guide will take you to the mid of grumeti region to explore more about the great migration across grumeti river. You will be luck to witness the capture of wildebeest by Nile crocodiles of Grumeti River. The Western Corridor follows the path of the Grumeti River up towards Lake Victoria. This region provides superb wildlife action in May and June, when the migrating herds cross the crocodile-infested waters of the Grumeti. In the evening you will spend the night and dinner at Kirawira camp.

Day 4: Grumeti to Ndutu southern grass plains.

Depend on where migration is, will depart from Grumeti to southern plains of Serengeti for full day game drive. The Serengeti’s southern plains are where the name of the park comes from. Vast grass plains stretch from southern Seronera into the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Outside the migration season, this area is not as good for game as the central Seronera region or the Western Corridor, but from December through to April the migration covers the entire area.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro to Arusha

In this day after hot breakfast from the camp, guide will take you to the famous largest world crater of Ngorongoro to explore the wildlife especially big 5. The Ngorongoro Crater is the best place in Tanzania to see ‘The Big Five’.  A healthy population of black rhino and some of the largest tusker elephants left in Africa today are the prize spots, but the crater is also home to good populations of lion, leopard and hyena along with healthy herds of wildebeest, buffalo and zebra.  Other wildlife here includes serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, flamingo and bat-eared foxes, as well as approximately 400 species of bird. In the evening depart to Arusha end of safari.
